The assignment was to build a toothpick truss that could hold the most weight with the fewest number of members. The weight would be applied to a hemispherical bowl over a circular hole, so there was a further constraint that this truss to be radially symmetrical.
My truss design took first place, holding 31.15 kg and weighing only 11.5 g. (The runner up held 18.14 kg)
